Shrine

Yesterday I visited the Santa Nino Shrine.  The Marcos family built it several decades ago as a combination church/meeting place/palace, and although the dining rooms have been used for events none of the bedrooms (including the Muslim room, full of Arabian knickknacks, and the butterfly room, decorated with boxes of preserved insects) have ever been slept in.  One tour guide was tasked with all the visitors in the building, which meant that every so often she would zoom into a room, shout something like “this vase was from Mao Zedong!”, and then disappear.  The place looked pretty run down.  Here are some highlights:

Returning home from the shrine, I found my dinosaur using my computer.  The housekeepers here are hilarious.

  3. What a wingspan !

I think the dino is trying to send a message that those sheets are not appropriate for a mighty Triceratops.
